Community Matron

Deborah, and Kate 

Their role is to give proactive care for the frail and elderly,  deal with unplanned admissions,  help with patients living with cancer, improving the quality of care for people with dementia and also assisting with the Triage Service and minor ailment clinics.

Practice Nurses

Deborah, Julie and Dawn

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice and blood pressure checks. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes and carry out cervical smears.

Health Care Assistant

Sharon 

Sharon supports the Practice Nurses with their daily work and carries out tasks such as phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement and new patient health checks.

Sharon may also act as a chaperone when a patient or Doctor requests one.

She is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception Manager

They are here to help with the smooth running of the practice and will support all staff in delivering patient services.

Reception and Admin Staff

Dawn, Paula, Emma, , Danielle, Jacqueline, Jane, Adele,  and Ellen.

The receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries.

They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

The receptionists also perform other important tasks such as  dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Prescription Clerk

Jean is the prescription clerk.

Jean is employed full time by the surgery to handle all prescription requests. When requesting repeat prescriptions please ensure that you clearly mark which items are required on the repeat slip. Repeat prescription can be ordered up to 5 days before they are due.

Secretaries

Tracey 

The Secretaries support to the doctors and deal with all the referrals to secondary care.
